Not like you asked or wanted to know, but I was actually in The Nutcracker at Barbara B. Mann for three years :) I always wanted to be a sugar plum fairy, so there's more correlation! I got to miss class to go to rehearsals and everything, so I felt like a mini diva :P
I was a solider for one year and a rat for two, so it wasn't super glamorous roles, but being backstage, seeing the professional dancers, having our own dressing rooms, and being on stage in front of 100s of people while getting to do something I loved was great!!
True story & most embarrassing moment: I ran the Rat King into a tree (the stand-up light fixture, but we know that from Comp) when I had to drag him off stage and then I heard him complaining about it backstage. Luckily all the rats had masks, so he didn't know it was me :P
